This time Elspeth considers all angles of pain, emotional, physical, mental  from the minor pain of toothache to the major trauma of being let down in life in some way. A more serious subject than usual, but Elspeth’s humour brings one back to sanity and she shows that’s its an unusual life that doesn’t have to cope with pain in some way, and that even God’s Son, Jesus, knew what desperate pain was like and believers in Him are not necessarily given a pain-free life!
