Daryl, while serving as a police officer was called to a regular job in the Northside of Brisbane. A situation where a death threat was alleged against a male and female.
Upon the initial knock on the door, Darryl and his partner went back to the car to obtain more information about the male suspect.
The next period changed their lives forever.

Our guest on this episode is Professional Golfer and Cricketer Peter McWhinney.
A country lad from the Darling Downs in Queensland till his family moved to rural NSW Peter was a sporting kid. He loved his cricket and football.
Boarding at a private school in Sydney Peter twice took 10 wickets in an innings once in the 10'a and 1st XII.
Moving back to Queensland to play cricket Peter joined Wests cricket club on the western side of Brisbane.
In his first game, he took 10 wickets for the day over two innings, was promoted to second grade, and playing 1st grade.
Whilst as Wests he was invited to play golf at Brisbane Golf Club, a club where in 8 months was down to scratch and he eventually became a trainee pro.

Welcome to this episode of Just Havin a Crack. This week's guest is South African all-rounder, coach, and match Referee Mike Procter.
Mike growing up in Durban was drawn to all sports but cricket won out.
Mike rose to the top of his game at a time when South Africa was unable to compete internationally due to Apartheid.
A country divided by what colour your skin was.
World Series Cricket, County Cricket, and Currie Cup were Mike's avenues to display his skills.
Post-retirement Mike went on to coach South Africa and then become a Match Referee.
Mike was involved with the now infamous "Monkey Gate" saga between India and Australia.
