If everyone would lend
A little help to those in need
It would help to solve the
problems of all folks in poverty
and soon enough hunger and grief
Would vanish completely
When everyone gave just a bit
Of love and charity....
Yesterday I met a man
Looking kind of sad
We sat and talked together
About the struggles that he had
I was surprised at the amount
Of help that I could lend
We left that place together
And that man is now my friend
In a world that's full of people
Is this too much too ask
Give what you can to aid the cause
And help complete this task
Fill you heart with friendliness
Help ease hunger and fear
And soon enough
when needs are met
This is what we'll all hear....
Hello ma'am nice to meet you
Isn't it a wondrous day
Since folks have gotten friendly
Helping folks with bills to pay
Excuse me sir, but I must go
I'm sure you'll understand
Cause over there is someone sad
Who needs a helping hand.
If we could give
More charitabley
Then we would leave
no one hungry
It's so easy with
such little cost
To you and me
Can't you see
