To speak hypothetically means to base a statement on a hypothesis or a proposed situation, sometimes for the sake of reasoning some humorous responses to a hypothetical from another person.  Sometimes maybe even while they are in an altered state?  In simpler terms, it's like saying 'what if' and creating a scenario to support an idea that just might illicit fun or funny dialogue between two or more people.   Now, I have to say that whenever I happen to be alongside the legendary businessman, Joey K, it is always a consideration for me to bring along some hypotheticals for him to digest.  Fortunately, Joey digests things quickly and thoroughly with absolutely nothing going to waste.  This usually makes for delightfully tasty conversation.  Yum.
