It's because I feel like the white supremacist systems in place are like the dude whispering on this track praying for the downfall of black people. We're not going anywhere. Black people, Black women, WE ARE NOT GOING ANYWHERE. The part of the song where Puffy screams at the end about how you can’t breathe without seeing us, I’m there mentally. Puffy screams: you won’t be able to sleep without seeing us; that’s how I feel today. Fuck the system. It will change because Black folks will keep fighting in every way. We’ll be there on the ground, in the office, organizing behind the scenes, starting our own initiatives, running for office, engaging the youth, challenging the status quo.
