Time and time again you have probably heard it, “The council of Nicaea made the Bible bro” “Jesus was made up at the council of Nicaea” or “The Di’Vincie code talks about this, Jesus was invented”. 

You may or may not be shocked to find out that the movie, is not accurate history but scripted entertainment. Unfortunately, people quickly surrender themselves to pseudo history simply to deny Jesus and try to suppress the truth they know is real. 

This episode we are going to actually look at the history of the Council of Nicaea and what it was really doing. SPOILER ALERT it was not making Jesus or the Bible, like the popular film likes to claim.

We are finally back with the last part of the 3 part series, addressing the claims made on the America Atheist website which lists supposed Biblical contradictions. As we go through this list of 6, you will quickly see, taking any sentence out of a page and randomly comparing it with another sentence from another page of the bible will have the façade of a contradiction. 

What we have here are not contradictions but instead willful or unintended misrepresentation of the biblical scripture.  The list of supposed contradictions from the American Atheist website are:  

-The Holy Lifestyle

-Punishing Crime

-Temptation

-Family relationship

-Resurrection of the Dead

-The End of the World

Matthew  5:14-16 “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden; nor does anyone light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.”

Be that light for somebody in these tough times, most people in difficult places aren’t looking for much other than another person to just take time and listen to them. We all know someone struggling, instead of being a spectator on the side lines take time to check in on people and be a friend.

 Today I take a look at some supposed Bible contradictions on the American Atheist website. The first 4 we are looking at today are:

1)       The sabbath day

2)       The permanence of the Earth 

3)       Seeing God 

4)       Human Sacrifice 

Its sad that some people on their walk with Christ will stumble upon pages like this and not give it a second thought and just assume the Bible is filled with contradictory statements. But if you take a moment to examine the claims being made you will see they easily fall apart. That is what we are here to do today.

Is it odd to have a digital patron saint of light and pilgrimage,  which is what Luce represents according to the church.
