There are situations where the use of deadly police force is justified. In a recent case in Ohio a teen was attempting to stab another with a knife clearly in her hand making a thrusting movement to stab another is clearly a justifiable use of force. Police are trained to hit the center mass of a person. Trying to shoot a leg or arm in the heat of the situation is not effective or practical.
