Cabaret meets Politics meets Activism! Plus some Baseball trivia thrown in!
Stephen Hanks is a PANJANDRUM of the Cabaret Community of New York City! As a longtime writer, editor, cabaret reviewer, producer, and most recently, manager, Stephen is a much loved and distinguished luminary in the community.
Stephen began his career in New York Cabaret as a reviewer for Cabaret Scenes in November 2010. He became Lead Reviewer and Editor of BroadwayWorld.com Cabaret Section from 2012-2015.
Over a four year period, he produced seven cabaret variety shows for Urban Stages Winter Rhythms Festival, and he produced and hosted five "Blue Wave" Democratic Candidate Fundraising Shows in 2018.
Stephen and I will talk about his early days in magazine publishing, his upcoming cabaret creation and, most importantly, we will explore the edges of cabaret, politics, and activism.
