Episode 184 (19 Apr 2022): Coming from a humble upbringing in a country where disenfranchisement is all too common, Kalo Filipov (https://www.linkedin.com/in/kaloyan-filipov/) is an avid risk-taker who aspires to find a meaningful calling while simultaneously uplifting himself to a better standard of life. Completing the Governance, Economics and Development major at LUC deepened his affinity with the intricacies that shape the public policy process and revealed an avenue to find purpose within public policy-related research, advocacy and activism. He is now determined to develop as a public policy expert with a strong computational social science background and work on the issues of corruption, media influence and civil society engagement based on their relevance for European governance as well as for wider transitional contexts around the world.
