President Yitzhak Herzog arrived in Australia on Sunday for a five-day visit.
He was invited by Prime Minister Anthony Albanese in the aftermath of the deadly Sydney terrorist attack in December at a Hanuka celebration on Bondi beach, in which 15 people were killed, mostly members of the Jewish community.
Arsen Ostrovsky is an Australian- Israeli human rights lawyer and Head of the Australia/Israel Jewish Affairs Council’s Sydney office. He is also a survivor of the Bondi beach attack and only moved back to Australia from Israel just a few weeks before the terrorist attack.
KAN's Mark Weiss spoke to him about the visit and the Australian Jewish community following the attack.
