On Tuesday, September 16, 2014, the City of Kankakee hosted a multipart panel discussion to explore the problems of housing in the city. The theme of part two was "Kankakee Today". Panel members were Mark Enns, a Kankakee area contractor, Fred Tedder, Kankakee 7th ward alderman, Matt Olszewski of Peoples Bank of Kankakee County, and Lisa Sanford of Speckman Realty.
