He talked a recap of the Week 1 preseason game and what to expect from the Chiefs for the rest of the preseason with Kevin Steele (@FantasyWrath13), Eliot Crist (@EliotCrist) and Ryan Williams (@RyanAlexander_W). The Chiefs shook things up a bit over the season with releasing Jeremy Maclin and then fired GM John Dorsey. How big (if any) of an impact do you see coming from these moves in regards to 2017?

 

  1. What are your thoughts on the Chiefs for 2017? Can they repeat as AFC West champions?
  2. It’s Patrick Mahomes mania in KC. Do you see any realistic chance that Mahomes overtakes Alex Smith as the starter?
  3. How do you see the Chiefs RB situation plays out? Everyone is hyping Kareem Hunt, but do you think he will overtake Spencer Ware as the lead back?
  4. With Jeremy Maclin released, Tyreek Hill steps right in as the WR1, do you think he has the skillset to be a nuanced route runner and play the Z which is the focal point of an Andy Reid offense?
  5. Any concern with Travis Kelce and his swelling knee?
  6. The Chiefs lost Dontari Poe this offseason. What are your thoughts on the direction of the defense this year? Any standouts in camp?
    7. Let’s get into Chiefs Preseason/Training Camp –
    1. What are your initial reactions to Patrick Mahomes performance against the 49ers on Friday?
    2. Kareem Hunt only played sparingly and only received one snap with the 1st team. Cause for concern? He made more of an impact on special teams, and the Chiefs seemed reluctant to get him involved in the offense.
    3. Past Tyreek Hill, which WRs have stood out in camp or preseason? Chris Conley, Albert Wilson, Demarcus Robinson, Seantavius Jones?
    4. If anything happens to Travis Kelce, who would be the TE that fantasy gamers should have an interest in? Demetrius Harris, Gavin Escobar, Ross Travis?
