Starting from childhood, Kara has been passionate about all things outdoors, especially fishing. While her love for nature began while growing up in the mountains of Idaho, her entrancement with fly fishing struck hard after moving to southwest Montana in her early 20s. She spent countless hours learning the uniqueness of each river and honing her craft. Being a fishing guide is not for the weak or weary, although sometimes it can leave you feeling exactly that way.

A couple years into guiding, Kara found herself underwhelmed with the selection of outdoor fishing apparel for women and girls. There was a gap that needed to be filled in the industry. Women and girls deserved need to be represented in this industry. A spark was lit. Fast forward through years of thinking, researching, and planning and we get to the launch of Yellow Sally, a fly-fishing clothing line for women and girls. When she is not out on the water spreading the joy of the outdoors to beginning and seasoned anglers alike, Kara is working hard to develop functional, high quality fishing and outdoor wear.
