Our guest this week is Kara Walker, Vice President of Marketing and Content with the Boston Celtics. We had some technical difficulties with this recording, but no matter we were still able to have a great discussion with Kara. In the interview, Kara takes us behind the scenes, in a real life way, describing how her department protects the Celtics brand while continuing to push the envelope and be innovative. We discuss the relationship her department has to have with the players and their crazy schedules; and Kara talks about the importance of data and analytics in her role, particularly personalized data, which I found interesting. Finally we touch on her role and responsibility as a female leader in the sports world.
