Trent and Patrick welcome Karen Calder, Executive Director of Classroom Central, to the show.  Classroom Central serves 127,000 students and their teachers in nearly 200 schools across 6 school districts in NC and SC.  Classroom Central was founded in 2002, and over the last 20 years has given away $70 million in free school supplies to our local teachers.  Their Free Store on Wilkinson Blvd is designed to provide all the materials teachers need to create successful learning environments.  Materials include basic supplies like pencils, paper, notebooks, glue sticks and folders, and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) materials, lesson plans, books, arts and crafts, classroom decorations, cleaning supplies, personal care items and more.  Tune in to learn the challenges they're currently facing because of the pandemic and how you can help through donations, volunteer opportunities and their "Color a Brighter Future" event happening this Tuesday, April 20th.
