Karen Knudsen, President and CEO of the American Cancer Society

Dr. Karen Knudsen is the first female CEO of the American Cancer Society. As an oncologist, she is also the organization’s first chief executive with a background in science. While 1 in 3 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime, more are living beyond the diagnosis. According to the ACS, there are nearly 17 million cancer survivors alive today.
