Kari Auringer's love of wine lured her from an aspiring career in graphic design to the rolling vineyards of Napa Valley. While honing her skills by making wine at home, her never-ending curiosity led her to create invaluable partnerships with some of California’s great winemakers.

Kari describes herself as a hands-on winemaker and gladly immerses herself in all aspects of the winemaking process from vineyard to bottle. Her style is one that embraces routinely rolling up her sleeves and staying intimately involved with every step of the intricate process. If you don’t find her tasting barrel samples in the winery, she is probably out playing in the dirt in a vineyard and loving every second.

She has spent the last two decades creating ultra-premium wines from some of the best vineyards in Napa Valley, Sonoma County and Sta. Rita Hills in Santa Barbara. Kari is the winemaker for Napa-based Cornerstone Cellars (https://cornerstonecellars.com/) where she crafts wines from some of Napa Valley’s premier vineyards.
