The issue of shale gas exploration and extraction in the country is one that has seen environmentalists at loggerheads multinational who’ve been trying to explore minerals. Well in an effort to guide policy development and regulatory framework on the issue, Chairman and the CEO of the Council for Geoscience together with the Beaufort West Local Municipality Councillors will on Monday officially launch phase two of the Karoo Deep Drilling and Geo-environmental Baseline Programme.
