Krutch is back from Cali and jumps straight into the conversation about the TI vs 50 Cent situation that’s been heating up online. From 50 bringing Tiny into the mix, to King going at 50 with the viral 50-cent t-shirt, the trolling went all the way up. Rick Ross even jumped in the comments asking for a 3X… and three days later he had one on.
Frankie also breaks down why he doesn’t think we’ll be getting new music from 50 Cent anytime soon, pointing out how heavy 50 has been moving in the film and television world.
Then the ride gets real when Patterson’s own Harrdluck hops in the car.
Luck talks about his early journey growing up in Paterson, NJ – the Silk City, and the history behind the city that once led the country in silk production. He reflects on the grind that led him into the rap game, including his first big look on a Green Lantern mixtape thanks to Frankie, linking with Jim Jones, and eventually meeting Dave East through the Dipset connection.
Luck also shouts out Kush Kells, who helped him sharpen his style and presence during his run in the mid-2000s.
The conversation turns into a Jersey hip-hop debate when Frankie introduces his Mt. Krutchmore of New Jersey rap legends, naming:
• Treach (Naughty by Nature)
• Redman
• Queen Latifah
• Fetty Wap
He also gives props to the current generation including Harrdluck, Albee AI, Coi Leray, and Ransom.
Harrdluck shares his own Jersey legend list and talks about the artists currently putting on for the state.
They also get into:
• The Boss Mob movement
• Whether Ghetto Gotti 3 will happen
• Why Luck wants more exposure for Ghetto Gotti 1 & 2 first
• Staying in your lane and trusting the process
Before wrapping up, Frankie blesses Luck with the merch from the Smoke Puppies x Sticky Go collaboration, and Frankie reflects on how much this episode means to him after 20 years of friendship.
