This inspiring sermon starts us off on our Spiritual Emphasis Campaign. This season we focus on the Ten Commandments.

Exodus 20:1–3 brings us back to the very foundation of our relationship with God: He alone deserves our worship. In a world filled with competing priorities, ambitions, and distractions, we can easily give our hearts to things that were never meant to take God’s place. Yet God reminds His people that He rescued them and calls them to belong to Him alone.

Worship God Only is a simple but powerful invitation to examine what truly has first place in our lives and to return our hearts, trust, and devotion to the One who alone is worthy.

Ted Turner’s remarkable life invites us to pause and ask some of life’s biggest questions: What are we living for, and what happens when this life comes to an end? Scripture reminds us that our earthly lives are temporary, yet God has placed eternity in our hearts, and what we believe about life, death, and eternity inevitably shapes how we live today. The root determines the fruit. Ultimately, our greatest lesson is that success, influence, and achievement cannot answer the question of our eternal destination. As Jesus declares in John 14:6, He alone is the way, the truth, and the life, and eternal life is found in Him.

Raising the next generation is one of the greatest responsibilities God has entrusted to us. Judges 2:7–13 reminds us what can happen when one generation knows God but fails to pass that faith on to the next. Just as children need to be nurtured physically, they also need to be intentionally shaped spiritually, beginning at home through prayer, example, and the teaching of God’s Word. The church has an important role to play, but it should support and strengthen parents, not replace them. Raising the Next Generation is about building a foundation of faith and character today so that our children can know, love, and faithfully follow God tomorrow.

From the very beginning, God’s desire has been to restore the relationship between Himself and humanity that was broken in the Garden of Eden. In Exodus 25–31, we see this beautiful picture of a God who rescues His people not simply to set them free, but because He wants to dwell among them and have fellowship with them. Through the tabernacle, the priesthood, and worship, God makes a way for His people to experience His presence. Today, through Jesus Christ, our perfect and eternal High Priest, we have been brought near to God, and as temples of the Holy Spirit, our whole lives become an offering of worship. This sermon reminds us that the greatest gift of salvation is not what God gives us, but God Himself.

From this sermon, we are reminded that faith is not only something we cherish, but something we intentionally pass on. Like a relay race, every generation has the responsibility to hand over a legacy of Godly values, steadfast faith, and Christlike character to the next.

As Paul encouraged Timothy to continue in the sincere faith passed down to him (2 Timothy 1) and as Scripture calls us to never grow weary in doing good (Galatians 6:9), we are challenged to teach our children from an early age to know God, love His Word, and live by His truth.

The greatest inheritance we can leave is not wealth or success, but a life anchored in Christ through faith and values that will guide them for a lifetime.

What do we learn from God's Laws?

God's laws were never meant to be admired from a distance, but lived out in everyday life. They reveal a God of perfect justice who values every human life, acts with fairness, and desires restoration rather than mere punishment. While the laws given to the Israelites exposes the standard of holiness, the good news is that Christ, our Mediator, is accomplishing in us through the Holy Spirit what we could never achieve on our own.

The more we understand His Greatness, the deeper our reverence and awe become. Yet the incredible truth of the Gospel is that this same All-Powerful God invites us into a personal relationship. Join us as we reflect on how the God of infinite majesty is also our faithful Friend through Jesus Christ.

Exodus 18 paints a beautiful picture of family reunion, as Jethro joyfully reunites with his son-in-law Moses, celebrates God's faithfulness, and offers timely, Godly counsel that strengthens both family bonds and leadership. By encouraging Moses to delegate responsibilities, Jethro demonstrates that wise leadership flourishes through humility, shared responsibility, and the willingness to receive counsel from those God places in our lives.
