Helping others is something innate in us Filipinos. It's one of the reasons why we are able to rise from the ashes brought by calamities and other dreadful events. But have you ever helped someone to your full capacity even though you have no direct relationship to that person? Have you ever questioned yourself why you are so attached to him/her? Well you're not the only one. Dr. Venus Rojas reveals to us how she answered this question and her experience on helping an elderly homeless man a few years back, in her essay entitled "Kasi!" | Venus’s essay was first published in February 8, 2011. Today, she joins Young Blood to talk about her experience on the struggles of helping a homeless elderly man, and how it made a great impact on her life. | About the guest: Venus is a medical doctor - general practitioner and a clinical researcher. She likes to learn all about life - the science and the philosophy of it.
