As Paste critic Max Freedman noted, Kate Davis' debut album Trophy "primarily addresses deeply millennial woes: general aimlessness, the quest for self-acceptance, existential dread." However angsty her music may be, it still has a brightness to it, as displayed by her recent Paste Studio session. During her set, Davis performed the title track from Trophy, as well as "Daisy," "Cloud" and "rbbts."
