We are excited to present the first episode of More Friends, with Katherine Taylor, hosted by Tryn Collins. Katherine was a Lighthouse Works fellow back in 2017. In this wide-ranging interview, Tryn and Katherine talk about why the characters in Katherine's novel are eating and drinking so much, her love of beautiful sentences, and their mutual fear of their hometowns.

Bios

Katherine is the author of the novels Valley Fever (Farrar, Straus, and Giroux, 2015) and Rules for Saying Goodbye (Farrar, Straus, and Giroux, 2007). Her stories and essays have appeared in The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, Elle, Town & Country, Allure, ZYZZYVA, The Southwest Review, and Ploughshares, among other publications. She has won a Pushcart Prize and the McGinnis Ritchie Award for Fiction. Katherine lives in Los Angeles.
