The Black Sticks are the latest New Zealand sporting group to come under criticism.
After rowing, cycling and football underwent issues, now the women's hockey coach is under fire.
Mark Hager accidentally sent out an email to his whole squad which criticised player's performances, causing current players to speak about a bad environment and discontent in the black sticks camp.
Former Black Stick Katie Glynn and others have written a note of support for Hager.
She told Mike Hosking that while she was on the team, she never experienced any bullying from Hager.
However, she says that people react differently to getting the type of feedback coaches tend to deliver.
