Katie Smith is a retired professional basketball player and current lead assistant coach for the Minnesota Lynx of the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA).

This series honors the accomplishments that women have made in the arts, sciences, mathematics, education and activism to name a few. Each segment highlights a different woman's achievements toward bettering Ohio and our world.  "Raising Up Ohio's Women" is made possible, in part, by a generous gift provided by the Principle Family Action Fund, along with friends of Toledo Rotary and Toledo Symphony, in honor of Sue and Doug Neckers who were fully committed to public service.
