MIT is...

Katrine '16 - Episode 3

Listen Later

Hello, there!
Episode 3 of the “MIT is…” podcast, brought to you by the MIT Division of Student Life, is here!
In this episode, Cynthia F. ’18 and Intern Sam go it alone and sit down with Katrine Tjolsen ’16, a course 6 student from Norway. Over the course of her four years at MIT, Katrine’s passion for social change has grown from local to worldwide. With that in mind, we discussed how she went to Brazil to help informal waste pickers by using technology to create an “Uber-like recycling program.” Also, we touched on topics such as her potential project in Angola, what it means to be an adult, time management, the importance of putting people before your grades, and a lot more.
As always, thank you to Anthony Occidentale ’17 for his sound engineering, and for creating our intro/outro music. If you are curious about Anthony’s other work, stop by his website: http://www.anthonyoccidentale.com/#welcome.
