Today in the GRIND seat, I had a great conversation with a young thought-leader and activist, Kayla Mitchell. In this episode, we dive into a conversation about her GRIND and passion for politics, voter's rights, and her ongoing fight for underrepresented groups in this country.
In the current unsettling political environment, this was an on-time discussion that helped to unpack the elephant in the room. Also with the upcoming runoff election in Georgia, Kayla sharing her thoughts and insight on how the younger and black voters are demanding change in the 🍑 State. She shared what has been happening on the ground in her state for many years before the recent presidential election that drastically improved massive voter turn out and increased voter registration.
While growing up in Metro Atlanta, Kayla has gained a diverse perspective as a Gen Zer and black female leader. Kayla is a graduate of West Georgia University with a Bachelor Degree in Political Science as well as a Master of Public Administration. She is currently pursuing a Law Degree from the School of Law at North Carolina Central University. She is also member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority and former president of NAACP college chapter of WGU.
