The Pencil is a powerful Russian Movie about a woman who follows her husband to a remote village where she teaches art in the local school. She then runs into serious hostility in a place where the norms of society appear to have broken down. KCSB’s Harry Lawton sat down with the crew at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival to talk about the film.
