In this episode I talk about Black August (which is an annual commemoration and prison-based holiday to remember for Freedom Fighters and Political Prisoners.

I speak on Political Prison & Freedom Fighter Mumia Abu-Jamal and a chapter out of his book ("Have Black Lives Ever Mattered"). Mumia Abu-Jamal wrote a chapter titled "Trying to Survive to 90 While Black". It's speaks of black killings (Sean Bell, Katherine Johnston & Others) and the fact that "Blackness" seems to be the only threat to warrant lethal force by white cops. 

My overall objective was to offer a discussion about how this story speaks to the pandemic that Young Black Men & Boys are living in. Enjoy!
