Keep Your Eyes On Jesus

Listen Later

Keep Your Eyes On Jesus is all about why we need to do so and how we can get off track. Chelsey shares some of the things The Lord has shown her during her 4 weeks off podcasting. How she needed to be knowing Him just as much as she was serving Him.

John 15:4-7 Clarity On Why We Need To Be Fixed On Jesus.

  • Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. If anyone does not abide in me he is thrown away like a branch and withers; and the branches are gathered, thrown into the fire, and burned. If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.

Cling To Jesus In The Dry Season

  • When the dry season comes, don't shut your bible! Don't put it on the shelf and promise you'll open it later. Run to Jesus. Run to His word.
  • Keep showing up. Keep going to the hard places and surrender the scary things to Jesus.
  • He'll depend your faith in unexplainable ways.

He Is Always Doing A New Thing

  • The Lord wants to always be doing new things in and through us.
  • He loves us so much He wants to invite us into partnering with Him.
  • If we trust Him with us, He will do the new thing.

The Areas Of Distraction

  • The distractions that come from to many good things on our plates.
  • Our sin nature - the sins we easily fall prey to if we're headed into complacency.
  • The attacks of the enemy. If you're following Jesus the enemy will attack you.

Verse To Cling To When We Feel The Enemy Coming

  • 2 Chronicles 20:12 - For we are powerless against this great horde coming against us, for we do not know what to do but we will keep our eyes fixed on you.
