Mark Wilder, founder of the Veterans' Party Of America, has been elected to the National Chair position. Chairman Wilder retired after serving for 26 years in the Active Army. Chairman Wilder enlisted in September 1985 as an Armor Crewmember after his graduation from Somersworth High School, Somersworth, New Hampshire. Chairman Wilder served in Schweinfurt, Germany with 2/64 Armor from February 1986 to March 1995. He then transferred to Fort Hunter Liggett, California, from April 1995 to August 1997. Chairman Wilder volunteered for Recruiting Duty and served throughout Northern California from August 1997 to December 2011.
Originally appointed as the first Treasurer of the VPA, David "Duke" Isakson, was formally elected, unanimously, to the position of National Party Treasurer. Treasurer Isakson is from Moses Lake, Washington and proudly served as a Motor Transport Operator in the United States Army from 1990-1998, attached to 3/325 AB Infantry for a deployment to Bosnia for Operation Joint Endeavor, from December 1995 to April 1996. Duke has a degree in Business Information Technology, works as the bookkeeper for two restaurants, as well as volunteering with the Fraternal Order of Eagles. Treasurer Isakson has served as the Secretary and President of the Okanogan Eagles for 4 years and the District 10 Deputy for the State of Washington Eagles for 2 years. Treasurer Isakson believes in giving to his community.
Fred Hendon is the Texas State Chair and has personal experience and hopefully he will share with us his story!
