Keeping It Israel

The world is currently inundated with media that is often hyper-focused on, and biased against Israel despite her small size and other nations in which corruption, genocides and other atrocities are being committed. How should Christians respond to media bias against Israel? What is our moral obligation as those who treasure the Bible? In this second part of our four-part series about Israel and the Media, Jeff talks to Robert Walker of Honest Reporting Canada about why the media dodges the truth about the conflict in Israel and gets Israel wrong practically every time.

How should Christians respond to media bias against Israel? What is our moral obligation as those who treasure the Bible? In this first part of our four-part series about Israel and the Media, Jeff talks to Robert Walker of Honest Reporting Canada about how Israel has become the greatest moral test of our generation. Perhaps the prophecy found in Joel chapter 3 is coming true right now and nations will in fact be judged by God regarding how they treated Israel and God's covenant Land.

In this interview Jeff talks to Gila Zarbiv, an inspiring Israeli nurse and Midwife Lead for Magen David Adom. Gila passionately shares about her experiences helping women of many different faiths and backgrounds in the Land of Israel, even while war sirens blare and missiles fly overhead.

Magen David Adom is Israel’s emergency services system. A leader in mass-casualty response and in EMS technology, Magen David Adom treats and transports more than one million people to hospitals every year; collects, safety tests, and distributes nearly all the blood to Israel’s hospitals; and, through its affiliation with the Red Cross movement, responds to disasters around the world. In our latest conversation, Jeff speaks with Evan Lieberman, the founder and CEO of Wise Money Israel, about the profound economic impact of supporting Israel from a faithful investor's perspective. Evan highlights the various ways believers can support Israel, from prayer to financial contributions, and introduces the idea of a two-way street in financial stewardship. He explains,  "I can do GOOD while doing WELL." This concept suggests that investing in Israel not only blesses the nation but can also yield returns for investors. Evan elaborates on Israel's unique position in the global market, pointing out that, despite its size, Israel has a robust and innovative economy. He notes that the Israeli shekel has strengthened significantly against other currencies, stating,  "The shekel has appreciated against the US dollar by about 67% over the last 24 years." He also emphasizes the thriving technology sector in Israel, where one in eight employees works in tech, contributing to the nation's reputation as the "startup nation."  Evan encourages listeners to view their investments as a means of blessing Israel while also fulfilling their financial goals. He reminds us of the biblical call to be wise stewards of our resources, stating,  "We are stewards of our time, our money, and other resources that we have." This insightful discussion is challenges all of us as Bible-believers to support Israel and consider how our financial decisions can align with biblical values.

Evan Liberman is the Founder and CEO of Wise Money Israel, the only licensed wealth management firm in Israel that is Jewish believer-owned and staffed. A Jewish believer in Yeshua (Jesus), Evan immigrated from the U.S. to Israel over 30 years ago and now helps investors from nearly 30 countries access the Israeli market through stocks and bonds. Beyond his work, he serves with several Messianic and humanitarian organizations, leads a Hebrew-speaking congregation, and, as an IDF veteran, brings a unique perspective on Israeli society, faith, and investing.

In this heart-warming episode, Jeff talks to Fadi Dekaidek, an Arab Muslim from Beit Hanina in East Jerusalem and learns his incredible story about becoming part of Israel's emergency medical system, Magen David Adom (MDA). When Jewish medics from MDA were saving the life of Fadi's father, Sameer, Sameer's words to his son changed the trajectory of his life: ‘I want from you one thing: to be like these people, to learn to save lives, to live like the Israeli community. You know the Jewish people; they are good people. If I’m still alive, I want to see you like them: a good man.”  Fadi went on to become the first Arab from East Jerusalem to join MDA and has saved countless lives ever since. The light he has brought back into his community in East Jerusalem is inspiring.  And the incredible community of Jews, Muslims and Christians that work on his team tells a different and hopeful narrative that contradicts what mainstream Media conveys.

About Magen David Adom (MDA):
MDA is Israel’s emergency services system. A leader in mass-casualty response and EMS technology, Magen David Adom treats and transports more than one million people to hospitals every year; collects, tests, and distributes blood to Israel’s hospitals; and responds to disasters around the world. In this humorous but profound episode, Jeff talks to Joshua and Caleb Colson (The Bearded Bible Brothers) at the National Religious Broadcaster's convention in Nashville. With antisemitism dramatically rising and media influencers largely turning against Israel, this conversation challenges the silent majority to be more vocal and confident as they advocate for Christian and Jewish values that are foundational to the West. Jeff talks about the next season of the First Century Foundations TV show - which will be filmed in Israel as soon as possible - explaining that its premise is to enlighten North American audiences about the ways in which ancient and modern Israel have blessed the world and benefited the West in profound ways.

Ever wondered why Solomon's work seems to vanish from history?  In this interview, Jeff talks to Dr. Christian Widener, a former engineer turned biblical researcher, who challenges everything we know about the Temple Mount. He argues that the evidence for Solomon's building prowess is overlooked. With nearly 150,000 men working tirelessly, how can we not find traces of such monumental labor?  As Christian digs deeper, he reveals that the narrative we've been taught doesn't hold up against the facts.  Sometimes, it takes fresh eyes to see the truth buried beneath centuries of tradition.

Dr. Widener is a former university professor, researcher, and entrepreneur, who was called to Christian ministry in 2020. His first book was The Temple Revealed, followed by Witnessing the End, and Finding Solomon. Christian also has a substantial presence on YouTube. His work has come out of almost two decades of personal research into end times prophecy and biblical archaeology, and the ministry is focused on bringing this new evidence to light and explaining why believers need to get ready for the Lord’s soon return.
