-And indeed, all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.- Paul's exhortations to you in verse 12, were to you as being persecuted. In verse 13, these exhortations are to you in your ministry to other saints who are being persecuted. The Christian may become discouraged because his needs are not being met, so you come alongside and meet his needs. Or the Christian my be struggling because he is alone, then you come to him and love this Christian whom you previous did not know. You keep the saints strong by bearing their burdens.
