On the final episode of the “keeping score” series – Terrell and guest host Chris Word, talk about trends. A trend is defined as a general direction in which something is developing and changing.

Trends are important because they allow business owners to assess: 

1) Where there is room for opportunity – i.e. for a barber; Saturday’s are an important day –knowing this trend- how do you adjust or plan through the week to make sure you can maximize this time? 

2) How you’re doing against the market and your competitors. 

Remember, at the end of the day- metrics are great, but, as a business owner – passion matters – all these are items that will help you manage your business well but at the end of the day, your desire and your passion will keep you going.
