Back in February, host Deanne King discussed the Racial Reconciliation Committee. There were discussions about the committee back in 2020, but three years later there was still no action.
Tampa City Councilman Luis Viera was a member on the special’s panel. King questioned him about it.
A week after our special aired, Viera brought it up to the committee during a council meeting. Fast forward to April, Tampa’s 13-member racial reconciliation committee was officially approved by council members.
