Keeping Time Season 3 Episode 15: James Palmer, Watchmaker at Roger W Smith Watches Join us for the finale of a fantastic season as we we are joined by James Palmer, a driven 21 yr old watchmaker who works for the esteemed Dr. Roger W Smith, OBE. In many ways James represents the future of fine watchmaking. It is fitting that James has earned the opportunity to learn from Roger Smith and have the opportunity to perhaps continue the legacy passed down from the great Masters such as A.L. Breguet and George Daniels and Roger Smith. After seeing "The Watchmaker's Apprentice," a documentary about Roger Smith and George Daniels, James immediately applied to the British School of Watchmaking. Listen in as we hear about James' journey and discover how the attraction of watchmaking at the highest level can entice a young man to leave his home country of England to move to the relatively peaceful and remote Isle of Man. This is a fantastic conversation: Insightful, honest and full of the hope of a young Gentleman with a highly promising career in his hands. Photos on blog. We hope that you all enjoy this episode and have loved this season as much as we have enjoyed the many incredible conversations. More to come next year in Season 4!
