This summer getaway was the first time we’ve seen more than 10,000 vehicles cross the Channel since Brexit. It was a major test of the system during a very busy part of the year — and while there was some congestion during peak times, overall traffic ran a lot more smoothly, largely thanks to many weeks of joint working with partners such as the Port of Dover, Kent Highways, and Kent Resilience Forum. In the first episode of my community podcast, I am joined by Doug Bannister, Chief Executive of the Port of Dover.
