Today’s guest is Captain Timothy K. Luck from Louisa County Fire and EMS. Timmy and his family have been fighting fires and responding to medical emergencies around the lake for decades. On this episode, we discussed how the highly-skilled and trained medical professionals at Lake Anna keep us safe while we play and enjoy our lives at the lake. Thankfully, Lake Anna doesn’t see too many fires or medical emergencies, but Timmy shared stories of recent emergencies around the lake, including lake house fires, boating injuries, and bridge jumpers. We also discussed when you’re transported by an ambulance or medical helicopter, which hospitals you’d be transported to. Timmy also outlined some of the most common causes of house fires and how to avoid them; the new fire station about to open near the Food Lion and the response area it will cover, and how YOU can serve your Lake Anna community by becoming a volunteer EMT or paramedic, totally trained by Louisa County Fire & EMS!
