She Did That.

Keeping Your Energy High as Seasons Change with Dr. Mariel Buque

Listen Later

Today on the She Did That. podcast we're unpacking the topic of seasonal blues with Dr. Mariel Buque. We're just a few weeks into Daylight Savings Time, and unless you live in Arizona or Hawaii, this means it's getting darker much earlier and the temps are dropping as we head into the winter months. For many, this change of seasons means more than cooler weather, it can also be the onset of SAD, which is seasonal affective disorder. SAD, or the winter blues affects women more than men, though researchers are not quite sure why. To put this in perspective, about 75% of people who get seasonal affective disorder are women, which is why Dr. Buque was the perfect guest for this week's show.
