Kelly is an exceptionally creative person and was an exceptionally creative child. But that creativity led to an 'art wound' that took 35 years to heal.

While "the unexamined life is not worth living," is a stronger stance than I take, I do believe the examined life allows a person to get smarter about how to live it. 

So, that's what I do here—reflect on my life or something from life. My hope is that my public reflections prompt your own private reflections and that together we build a life with a little more breathing room, a little more intelligence, a little more forgiveness for ourselves and those we love.
