The Downtown Lowdown podcast, the official podcast of the Downtown Tipp City Partnership welcomes, Kelly Downey, the Downtown Tipp City Event Coordinator alongside your host Tasha Weaver, Executive Director of the Partnership, and co-hosted by the Tipp Gazette’s Greg Enslen, the episode gave insight into the upcoming holiday events taking place in Tipp City that are sure to create life-long memories for everyone.
Holiday Cheer is Finally Here!
Have you heard? It’s the most wonderful time of the year and Tipp City sure knows how to bring that holiday cheer! With everything from a community Christmas tree lighting to a tour of Tipp Cities beautifully eloquent homes there are so many upcoming events you don’t wanna miss out on! So grab a warm mug of hot chocolate and turn on this week's newest episode of the Downtown Lowdown to keep you in the holiday loop!
Twinkling Tithings in Tipp Event: A Tale of Parades and Christmas Tree Lightings
The first event to kick off the holiday season is none other than the Twinkling Tithings in Tipp! This event features a holiday themed parade followed by the famous Christmas Tree lighting! The parade will begin promptly at 6:00 PM in front of Mauk Cabinets by Design then will proceed down Main Street to South Second Street. After the parade you will make your way to a dazzling stage set up at 3rd & Main. But, stick around, you don’t want to miss out on the spectacular tree lighting taking place at 7:00 PM in the Zion Lutheran Church yard at the corner of Main & 3rd. Nothing grows the community closer quite like the twinkling glow of christmas lights and spreading cheer through carols. Plus, if you’re hungry then look no further than the wonderful food vendors who are providing FREE delicious goodies for the whole family!
Tippecanoe and Christmas Too is Just Around the Corner Waiting For You!
On December 6th the next festivity taking place is the Tippecanoe and Christmas too holiday home tour. Starting at noon and ending at 5 PM you can experience the historical beauty of some of Tipp Cities finest homes inside and out! This special event is a tour unlike any other! Each homeowner teams up with an interior decorator and designers to transform the households into movie worthy masterpieces! Not to mention there will be a cookie chalet! The Annual Partnership Member Dinner : Giving Back to the Businesses That Create Tipp City as We Know It
The very first 2026 event is the glamorous Partnership Member Dinner. On January 26th, the pre-dinner cocktails will start off the celebration of our community at 5 PM inside the Tipp Center. Then after enjoying a refreshing bubbly beverage the dinner itself will start at 6 PM. During this event many downtown businesses will receive various awards for their hard work as well as giving the businesses a spotlight to shine in. Hop Through Downtown Tipp City for the Bourbon and Chocolate Event
Last but certainly not least, the Bourbon and Chocolate event. On February 6th from 5 PM to 8 PM starting at Mauk Cabinets you will embark on a journey of different stops throughout Tipp City. At every stop you will be greeted with heavenly aromatics and samples of both chocolates and bourbons! Explore your taste buds and try something new! Alongside the taste testing there will also be a presentation chalk full of information about the very bourbon you’ll try out. Which events caught your eye?
