For twenty-five years, Kelly Milner Halls has written high interest nonfiction for young readers, first as a magazine writer, publishing more than 1,000 articles, then crafting research intensive nonfiction books. "I've always wondered about strange topics like ghosts, aliens, cryptids, dinosaurs and mummies," she confesses. "There were no books about those topics when I was a kid, so I resolved to write the books I would have read." Forty-five books later, she's built a career on being weird -- and is proud of it.
