This episode of "Blue Earth" features two Southern Connecticut State University (SCSU) students, who each pitch an early stage business idea for a product that uses kelp. This is the first of three episodes being released this week that all focus on blue ways to make some green.

This episode focuses on two very different items that create a lot of waste. The proposed products, both use kelp, which grows in underwater forests, in this case, in the Long Island Sound.
