Kendrick Lamar tops the 2026 nominations with nine, triple-dipping again in record, song, and album of the year. It is his fifth consecutive AOTY nod, the first time any artist has managed that magic trick. Still chasing their hardware: Lady Gaga with seven and her first simultaneous big three bid, Jack Antonoff with seven and a possible Producer of the Year tie with Babyface, and Cirkut with seven while dueling Antonoff for producer and doubling up in record and song of the year. Album of the year pits Lamar’s GNX against Gaga’s Mayhem, Sabrina Carpenter’s Man’s Best Friend, Bad Bunny’s Deb Tirar Más Fotos, Justin Bieber’s Swag, Clipse’s Let God Sort ’Em Out, Leon Thomas’s Mutt, and Tyler, the Creator’s Chromakopia. It is the first time three albums are up for both rap album and AOTY, and Bad Bunny scores only the second all-Spanish AOTY nod ever, also him. Record of the year features Billie Eilish’s Wildflower, and Ros becomes the first K-pop artist nominated in that field. Best new artist is a scrum of Katseye, Olivia Dean, The Marias, Addison Rae, sombr, Leon Thomas, Alex Warren, and Lola Young.
