The Jets top line was dominant, the power play scored twice, Sean Monahan chipped in his first goal (and point) since joining the team and Connor Hellebuyck stood tall in the battle between goalies vying for the Vezina Trophy. This was the first of three meetings between the two clubs and the win vaulted the Jets into third overall in the NHL in points percentage after a third consecutive victory.
