Welcome in to the All Out Kentucky Podcast, your home for the Kentucky Wildcats basketball and football program. I am your host AJ Bradley and I am joined as always by my brother and co-host Sam Bradley. Earlier this week we saw the Wildcats handle their business at home defeating the LSU Tigers by a final score of 74-71 to move to 10-4 on the season and 1-1 within the Southeastern Conference. We break down the the big win for the Wildcats and discuss what they did so well in their performance offensively as they were lead by the play of National Player of the Year Oscar Tshiebwe and the improved play of Jacob Toppin. The Wildcats only committed 5 turnovers and hit big shots down the stretch. We will then turn our attention to the matchup down in Tuscaloosa and there is no bigger test than going on the road against the 7th ranked Alabama Crimson Tide who are the real deal and the best team the Wildcats have faced this season in my opinion. Alabama is a team who is loaded with talent and is efficient on both the offensive and defensive side of the ball. They have played arguably the toughest schedule to date of any team in the nation and hold a 12-2 record to go along with a top 10 ranking. And when you look at the Tide there is one thing that sticks out and has ever since Nate Oats became the head coach back in the 2020 season and that is the pace at which they will play. Going into this weekend KenPom has Alabama as #2 in the nation when it comes to adjusted tempo so that just shows you they are not like most teams. You can turn on the tape and see that this team is looking to run and they are very comfortable in that position. Another staple of this Alabama team is the three point shot and this season they shoot an average of 28 three pointers a game and do that at 34.8%.
(0:01:02) Intro - LSU Win. Efficiency on offense, roles being defined, Toppin B2B, Big O and Point God Wheeler. Deliberate play
