How can you love someone as yourself? If I'm commanded to love somebody as myself why do I need to be commanded that I shouldn't steal from another person? The commandment to love someone expresses itself not so much as an emotional commandment but rather as a physical one. Therefore we can love someone else as we love ourselves. Just as I don't want somebody to still from me I don't want I will not steal from someone else. And therefore all of the commandments between man and his fellow man all stem from the general commandment of loving your fellow jew
