Episode 14: Kevin Carter of Baseball Prospectus!

We welcome on our first guest, Kevin Carter of Baseball Prospectus and Lone Star Ball! First we chat real quick about Beltre’s injury and if Cole Hamels is good anymore (Father Time is undefeated). Then we tap into our precious MiLB resource and talk about some of the players in the organization that just may take the field in Arlington in the coming years. Kevin gives a breakdown of how he scouts and evaluates players before a roundtable discussion over Profar, IKF, Calhoun, Connor Sadzeck, Andy Ibanez, Adam Choplick, Jose Trevino, and Hunter Cole. We play a fun game called Dude or Not, Kevin talks about some non-Ranger prospects currently making the Texas League exciting, and there’s a brief mention of the can’t-miss prospects currently in Carolina.
