Today we expose the full-blown incompetence unfolding in Providence and on the campus of Brown University. What should have been a straightforward investigation into a mass shooting has turned into a circus of missteps, missing evidence, and leadership that never should have been hired in the first place.

Brown’s police chief — a DEI hire who was asked to resign from his previous job — is now presiding over one of the worst investigative failures we’ve seen. Add to that the growing possibility that Brown’s sanctuary-city style policies led to key campus cameras being removed, leaving investigators blind at the exact moment they were needed most. This is what happens when ideology replaces law-and-order.

Providence PD isn’t looking much better. Confusion, mixed messages, and an investigation that appears to be going nowhere. The public deserves answers, competence, and accountability.

Grant is calling for the FBI to take over immediately. It’s the only hope to salvage this investigation and get the truth the administrators at Brown seem determined to bury.
