During our 10 days in South Africa, we had a chance to go to a open mic at Khaya Records in Durban. Khaya Records a record store that has a bar and lounge area with musical performances from time to time. We found out about this place through a friend who heard Klaccik Carpenta play his cello and wanted him to have a chance to play for others. I'm not sure if it was just the crowd we hung out with but Durban had a laid back and creative vibe to it.
